EDU-WACQT 2nd Quantum Technology Education Workshop

Welcome to a workshop on undergraduate teaching in Quantum Technology. An event open for participants from Swedish universities who are engaged in or interested in undergraduate teaching.

The aim of the EDU-WACQT program is to coordinate undergraduate teaching in Quantum Technology. To achieve this, the WACQT graduate school is organizing lunch-to-lunch meetings for participants from Swedish universities who are engaged in or interested in undergraduate teaching.

Organisers: EDU-WACQT/ Graduate school of WACQT

The world is on the verge of a quantum technology revolution, with extremely powerful computers, intercept-proof communications and hyper-sensitive measuring instruments in sight. Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology is a 12 year SEK 1 billion research effort that aims to take Sweden to the forefront of this very rapidly expanding area of technology. Through an extensive research programme, we aim at developing and securing Swedish expertise within the main areas of quantum technology: quantum computing and simulation, quantum communications and quantum sensing. Our main project is to develop a quantum computer that can solve problems far beyond the reach of the best conventional supercomputers.

    WACQT Teacher Network

The EDU-WACQT program aims to coordinate undergraduate teaching in Quantum Technology. To support this goal, the WACQT graduate school has started a network for teachers. The network is open to participants from Swedish universities who are engaged in or interested in undergraduate teaching in quantum technology. The aim is to foster collaboration among educators to improve the quality and reach of quantum technology education.  The first network activity was a lunch-to-lunch workshop on November 19-21, 2024 at Chalmers. The second at KTH on October 16-17 2025.  See program below. The workshop offeres discussions on challenges and future plans for the network, as well as knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development regarding university courses on quantum technology.
