Climate strategy and framework
Chalmers’ climate strategy is based on the Climate Framework for Swedish Higher Education and breaks down into the seven sub-areas where we have the greatest ability to have real impact and make a difference. We have drawn up strategies and objectives for each sub-area corresponding to the UN’s global sustainability goals and Agenda 2030.

This is what guides us
Here, you can read about the approaches that guide Chalmers. Our aim is for you who study, work and collaborate with Chalmers to experience these approaches, contributing to them in your work and study settings and in all their interactions with the university.

How Chalmers is run
Chalmers has been a private university since 1994, with a foundation as the controlling enterprise. The University has, compared to other institutions for higher education in Sweden, a unique closeness to industry and society with opportunities to create joint ventures with external partners.

General policy documents
Chalmers governs its operations through a range of governing documents. The owner foundation adopts governing documents that apply to the entire group, while the university adopts governing documents that regulate only its own operations. Documents within the categories of policy and guideline may be adopted both at group level and university level. The university also adopts rules and local procedures.

Safe at Chalmers
At Chalmers, you should feel safe, welcome, and respected. Together, we create the study environment at Chalmers—that is why we all need to contribute to an environment where everyone can thrive and develop. This means that our campuses should be free from discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and abusive treatment. Such behavior is never okay – whether in the classroom, online, in a lab, at a party, or in other parts of the study environment and student life. Safe at Chalmers is your student resource for increasing knowledge of key areas such as discrimination, victimization, harassment, and sexual harassment. You can also receive support and advice on how to act or report a situation if something doesn't feel right. You can find information from the student union here: Safe on campus - Chalmers Studentkår
