How Chalmers is run

Chalmers University of Technology is a foundation university, with the Board of the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation as its highest decision-making body. Under the Foundation are the subsidiaries Chalmers tekniska högskola AB (Chalmers University of Technology) and Chalmers Holding AB. Chalmers Holding has the subsidiaries Chalmers Ventures AB, Chalmersfastigheter AB and Chalmers Next Labs AB. Chalmers Holding is also a shareholder in Sahlgrenska Science Park as well as in SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory AB.

The core business is conducted at Chalmers University of Technology AB, where the Board of Directors is responsible for Chalmers' overall organization and administration. Chalmers’ President and CEO is responsible for the day-to-day management of the university. The University Management Group, chaired by the President and CEO, is responsible for ensuring that all operational areas work together and drive Chalmers' development forward.
