General policy documents

Chalmers governs its operations through a range of governing documents. The owner foundation adopts governing documents that apply to the entire group, while the university adopts governing documents that regulate only its own operations. Documents within the categories of policy and guideline may be adopted both at group level and university level. The university also adopts rules and local procedures.

A policy defines the fundamental principles guiding Chalmers´ actions. It is intended to provide guidance on the actions to be pursued within specific area and the values to be take into consideration. A policy is adopted by the board of the owner foundation, the university board, or the university president.
